Writer, Lawyer & Fashionista
I am the last of three girls. I am a lawyer certified both in England and Nigeria. I studied and graduated from the University of Reading UK.
I went on to obtain the legal practice course certificate at the University of Law located in London. I came back to Nigeria where I attended Nigeria Law School and was called to bar.
I worked in various institutions such as Fate Foundation and Dambo and Co where I held various positions. In addition to my legal background I have always been a creative which can be seen from my business ventures in fashion and writing.
From a young age, I have always loved writing. I started writing poems and short stories. I have written books, poems, short stories and articles. My interest in writing cumulated in the publishing of my first children’s book titled, ‘Tolu’s adventures on the streets of Lagos’. This being my first book has done considerably well and I have had to reprint more than once and still counting.
Furthermore, I have also been able to express my creativity through my fashion brand Abeje Lagos, which I started in 2019. It is a one stop shop for all your fashion needs.
My Book
Tolu’s adventures on the streets of Lagos is a captivating book which highlights through the eyes of a little girl the busy streets of one of Africa’s most populous state, Lagos as she makes her way to her Aunty’s house.
It gives a detailed analysis of the various interesting, diverse and sometimes sad events that occurs on what should have been a fairly simple and straight forward journey.
Tolu’s adventures on the streets of Lagos opens up the reader to occurrences and situations with a twist of humor.
It is a book for the family as both parents and children will immensely enjoy.
